Summer Camp 2026
Every summer, Operation Dignity hosts a summer camp for children in Iquitos, Peru — a week filled with activities, meals, learning, and the kind of joy that stays with a child long after camp ends. For five days, the children we serve step away from the everyday and into an experience built just for them. They play, they learn, they laugh, and they leave knowing that a whole community believes in their potential.
This is more than a summer program. It's a tradition. Year after year, our donors make it possible — and year after year, the kids show up ready for the best week of their summer.
It costs just $50 to fund one child's full camp experience, including meals, activities, and programming. Every dollar goes directly to the children in our care.
Educational Support Program
Learning Club
Through our personalized Educational Support Program, Operation Dignity is addressing one of the most critical barriers facing children in the community—severe academic delay.
In 2025, we successfully supported 49 children and adolescents who had fallen significantly behind in school and, in many cases, were unable to read or write. Through structured literacy instruction, consistent guidance, and one-on-one mentorship, these students were given the tools—and the belief—to re-engage with their education.
This work goes beyond academics. It restores confidence, rebuilds a sense of capability, and creates a pathway forward where there once was none. By intervening early and intentionally, we are helping prevent school dropout and breaking cycles of educational exclusion that impact entire families and future generations.
This program is not supplemental—it is essential. It represents a direct and measurable investment in long-term change within the community.
