Joanne Rejko

Board Member

Joanne Rejko has worked in administration and finance for various types of businesses for 29 years after deciding to transition out of her first beloved career as a critical care nurse to raise her son and help her husband operate his business. She began her new career by training as an accounting assistant with her husband’s accountant and later became a Certified Public Bookkeeper and a member of the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers.

Since 2013 Joanne has been V.P. of Administration and Finance for Halo Communications Inc., where her strong organizational skills and attention to detail helped Halo grow from two locations to seven. Her responsibilities include creating and managing administrative, financial and organizational policies and procedures for multi-site teams, financial reporting, budgets, A/R and A/P, payroll processing (for 100+ co-workers), payroll tax filings, monitoring and management of bank accounts, loans and leases.

Joanne discovered a love for volunteer work while attending the University of Florida and later served as a hospice volunteer and also as an event coordinator, ministry team leader, and volunteer coordinator/trainer at two non-denominational churches for 25 years.

Joanne now offers her skills and experience to assist Operation Dignity in helping meet the needs of impoverished children and families. She considers serving on the board a great privilege and joy.
